Day 01: Abroad / Delhi On Arrival at New Delhi International airport you will be received by our representative and escorted to hotel. You will be given a traditional
Indian welcome consisting of aarti-tikka and garlands. Relax overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi In the morning guests will be taken for a morning sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. You will be made to visit Old Delhi - Former centre of Moghul Power. Old Delhi offers a majestic view of ancient monuments.Take a walk through narrow streets and bustling bazaars.Here you visit the vast Red Fort, built in 1648, the Jama Masjid, one of the greatest mosque in India and completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan who also built the Taj Mahal. After that you visit Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. On the way you also get the glimpses of government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the famous India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue ahead onto the beautiful Humayuns tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal.
In the afternoon take tour of the temples.
Stopover at the Laxmi Narayan Temple, popularly known as the Birla Mandir. It is one of the largest Hindu temple built in 1938. This temple is open to people of all faiths who can enter and worship, but one must walk barefoot into the courtyard and further on. Visit the Baha'i Temple also known as Lotus Temple situated atop the Kalkaji Hill. This distinctive picturesque lotus shaped marvel, surrounded by a landscaped garden, has been labeled the Taj Mahal of the 21st Century.
Also, visit the beautiful Bangla Sahib Gurudwara temple, the most important site of worship for both sikhs and Hindus in Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Mathura After having morning Breakfast Drive to Mathura (147 kms).On arrival in Mathura - check into the hotel.Mathura is the birth place of Lord Krishna. Famous for beautiful temples. Mathura is an ancient cultural and religious centre. Whereas, the surrounding area is closely linked with his childhood. Nearby to Mathura is Vrindavan where Krishna indulged in adolescent pranks like flirting with his gopis 'milkmaids' in the forests and stealing their clothes while they bathed in the river. The famous 'Hare Krishna' ISCON temple also have their headquarters situated here.Lunch at the hotel.
Later in the evening return to the Temple for evening aarti.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Mathura - Agra - Allahabad Attend early morning Aarti at the temple.
After having breakfast at hotel embark on a journey to Agra (57 kms / 1 ½ hours).
After arriving at Agra proceed straight for a sightseeing tour.Visit the Taj Mahal .It is the famous tombbuild by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved queen ,Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan, died in 1630. The Taj complex encompasses a forecourt, an arrogant entrance, a beautiful fountain area andattractive formal Mughal garden with canals,.There is an attached mosque on the west and its symmetrical counterpart on the east. The Taj is notable for its proportionate architecture and rich pietra dura, with minute details executed with great skill and perfection. The building, often spoken of as "a dream in marble" is said to have taken at least 22 years (1631-1653) to build.
Proceed for lunch at the hotel
After lunch visit Red Fort which lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of the town. It was built by Akbar as his citadel over the years 1563-73 in one of the finest architectural style. It has fine crafted gates and walls of red sandstone and a moat. In the evening you are transferred to the Railway Station for overnight train to Allahabad.
Leave: Agra by Express Train at 1900 hrs (Packed dinner on board). Overnight journey on train.
Day 05 : Allahabad - Varanasi Early morning arrival in Allahabad by at 0500 hrs. Our representative meets you at the station and transfersyou to hotel.Allahabad is one of the well-known holiest city as it is the meeting point of India's two most revered rivers, the Ganges and the Yamuna. This meeting point of the rivers is called the Sangam, is believed to have great soul changing powers and is an important pilgrimage site.
Post lunch at the hotel drive to Varanasi (135 kms/ 4 hrs).
Upon arrival in Varanasi meet and get checked into the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Varanasi In the morning take an early drive to DaswamedhGhat and take a boat ride on the sacred river Ganges to see the famous cremation Ghats. You get to witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions. Visit some of the many revered Hindu temples that line the river Ganges. Take a stroll along the narrow lanes and bazaars full of shops selling, among other things, the world famous Benaras Silks.
Tour of Benaras – is said to be one of the oldest cities of the world and a microcosm of Indian life. It is one of the ancient center of learning, the Benars Hindu Univesity is worth a visit.Also visit the silver and gold brocade shops, for which Benaras is world famous.
Visit Sarnath - 5 miles out of Varanasi –visit one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world.Here Gautama Buddha first taught the teachings of Dharma after his enlightenment. Here you also get to witness the ruins of a once flourishing Buddhist monastery. Visit Sarnath Archeological Museum which houses an excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculptures found at the site.
In the evening leave for splendid cruise on the Ganges on candle lit country boats to the accompaniment of musicians. You get to witness Hindu devotees performing the "Puja" with lighted lamps. The enchanting view and the spectacular ambience is bound to keep you mesmerized. Later return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Varanasi - Delhi Departure for Delhi.
